Description

My client an independently owned fleet and accident management company based in Castleford, are looking for a hardworking, Computer literate and confident Trainee Claims handler to join their small team.

Working in small team the principal activity is to receive and administer motor vehicle repairs and booking. Work requests are received via phone and electronically. The details are uploaded onto our bespoke system in real time requiring attention to detail as accuracy of data is very important. Therefore good keyboard skills an essential part of the job. Having accepted the work request the job is then progressed which may include appointing and organising a replacement vehicle via our rental portal. Once a job is in process then the IT system issues automated diary reminders and the service advisor will provide regular updates to the drivers/fleet manager/broker via text/email or phone. Good written and spoken English is essential and numeric skills are required from time to time. Communication is a fundamental aspect of the job role as the agents will spend the bulk of their time speaking with drivers, repairers, engineers and fleet managers.

You will have to be a people person and have very high communication skills as you would be responsible for speaking with recovery agents, body repairers and then also organising a replacement vehicles
